In a move to address ongoing supply chain challenges, Apple has submitted a request to the U.S. government for permission to source RAM chips from CXMT.

CXMT is currently blacklisted by the Pentagon due to its connections with the Chinese military, specifically the People's Liberation Army.

This request is directed to the Trump administration and reflects Apple's efforts to mitigate supply chain pressures that have impacted its operations.
